HQ Grand Opening - Grab a Yard Sign, Join the Revolution

The big story in Minnesota this week is the Grand Opening of our own Headquarters this Thursday. Although the open house begins at 4 PM, it sounds like they could use some volunteers to show up at 11 AM. You can stop by to pick up a yard sign or bumper sticker if you haven't already. And they are also looking for people to sign up to work shifts at the building. This is a great opportunity to join the "Revolution," if you're trying to find a way to get involved. For more information, either click the link above or email Marianne Stebbins at Marianne@RonPaul2008.com.

Vacation!

I hope everyone can take some time off to enjoy the holiday. But for those of you who just have to have something to do, why not submit a video question for the CNN Youtube Debate? You have until November 25, and if your question is chosen, they may fly you down to Florida for the debate. I'm going to try to take a few minutes and submit a video question myself.

Here's my question: "We have been told that we have made a great deal of progress in Iraq, and that the country is now mostly stable and secure. But we have also been told that coming home means defeat. If you don't think we should bring the troops home now, are there any conditions under which you would bring the troops home immediately after taking office?"

Show Your Support

Chris Chandler, of the Hastings meetup group, is making headlines with his Ron Paul yard sign. All around the Twin Cities, yard signs and bumper stickers are starting to appear. This is one area where the Ron Paul campaign is way ahead of every other candidate, and it definitely makes a difference. So, if you haven't already, please show your support for Ron Paul by placing a sticker on your car, a sign in your yard, or a sweatshirt on your back. You can find these items in the campaign store.

Priorities

There has been a lot of discussion lately among Ron Paul supporters about what our priorities should be over the next couple of months leading up to our Minnesota caucuses. The question: should we focus on large-scale name recognition or should we go to door to door, precinct by precinct? I think the answer is yes, and yes. There are many possibilities for spreading Ron Paul's freedom message, while not sacrificing time that we can spend canvassing our precincts. The focus of this site, leading up to the caucuses, will be on how we can inform as many people as possible about Ron Paul and his message, while signing up more supporters from our precincts.

And to that end, here are two links for today.

First, please take a look at the pdf form that my wife and I created to give to our neighbors along with a "slim jim" flier. If you would like to use it in your own precinct, feel free to do so--there are two input fields where you can put your contact information and invite your neighbors to join you at your next meeting (the Bloomington group, for example, will be meeting several times at Davanni's Pizza). Before printing a lot of these, make sure to run a test to verify that the front and back line up, and also consider printing in black and white (color can get costly).

Second, under the category of getting the word out, consider writing a letter to the editor. This is something that doesn't need to interfere with your precinct canvassing, as you can do it after the sun has set. Here's a link to the letters to the editor section of the Star Tribune.

That's all for today. Please keep an eye on this site, as I'll be posting more ideas and strategies for winning the Minnesota caucuses. Thanks for reading!
